Fish Deeper Premium
Fish Deeper Premium is a subscription-based service that provides access to global bathymetric maps on a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer. It will grant you instant access to over 50,000 global bathymetric maps. You can read more about it here.
Global bathymetry consists of bathymetric maps that provide detailed data on the depths of lakes, making them very useful for fishing planning - they help to understand the bottom terrain, its features and possible fish hotspots. Access to Global bathymetry is only granted if you have Fish Deeper Premium subscription.
Personal bathymetry is your personal bathymetric maps created by scanning water bodies with Deeper sonar.
How to enable Fish Deeper Premium (global bathymetric maps)?
If you have a Deeper Sonar device, you can get 1 free month of Premium access for each Deeper Sonar you own. When you connect your Deeper to the FishDeeper app for the first time, the free 1 month access will activate automatically.
Worth to know:
- You will get 1 month of Premium access for each sonar you own. The duration adds up, which means that if you have purchased two or more Deeper Sonars, you will get 1 month of free access for each one of them.
- If you have a Deeper 3.0 model and want to activate Premium, please email us at support@deeper.eu and attach a photo with your device's serial number.
- You can also create and upload your scans to the cloud. You will get points for doing so, and you can convert those points to free Premium access. You can read more about it here.
What app features can I use with global bathymetric maps?
When you activate Premium in your account, global bathymetric maps will automatically appear in the Fish Deeper app or on the Fish Deeper website. You can also use the following features:
- Download Offline bathymetric maps in the Fish Deeper app. You will then be able to view global bathymetry even when your phone does not have an internet connection.
Note: we highly recommend downloading the offline map of your area. It will allow you you to view global bathymetry even if you have no access to internet. The app will prompt you to download offline maps in case they are not downloaded already.
- Enable and disable the display of global or personal bathymetry in the map settings.
- Click on any point on the bathymetric map to find out the exact depth of that location

How accurate are global bathymetric maps?
Global bathymetry is based on processed data: fully depersonalized sonar scan data is combined, processed, and compared with other relevant geographic data. Deeper UAB further processes this information, eliminating discrepancies and irrelevant data. Information processing is based on algorithms that evaluate many different aspects and include only data that is cross-checked. We are constantly improving these algorithms to eliminate inaccuracies and ensure the highest quality of bathymetric data.
Certain inaccuracies may still occur due to natural causes, such as seasonal changes in water levels, certain weather conditions, precision of GPS location detected by mobile devices, or coordinates of the geographical map supplied by a third-party service.
Maps of locations (base maps) provided by external service providers may contain inaccuracies that may affect the display of global bathymetry (possible visual artifacts such as bathymetry overlapping with the shoreline). Third-party service providers also keep location maps up to date. If you find any inaccuracies in the bathymetric map or base map, please report them by email to support@deeper.eu.
As we are continuously gaining new data with new scans, it lets us verify previous data and constantly improve the quality of the bathymetric maps.
I want a specific bathymetric map removed from Fish Deeper because it is a private or restricted lake.
If a particular lake is owned by you, and you wish its bathymetric data to be removed from the Fish Deeper global bathymetry, please email us at support@deeper.eu with a proof of ownership, and we will arrange the map to be removed.
Is my personal data shared with other anglers?
No it’s not. When data is processed to prepare global bathymetric maps for Fish Deeper Premium, it's fully depersonalized. There are no references left to personal information, sonar data, marks or catches registered by users, or any other statistics, just the coordinates and the depth at that spot. Your personal bathymetric maps, sonar scans, and points of interest cannot be accessed by anyone, and you are the only one who can view them. In rare cases, employees of Deeper UAB may access bathymetric maps or sonar scans of the user, but only in cases when it's needed to resolve specific technical issues of that user.
Global bathymetry is based on processed data, combined from different scans made with Deeper Sonars. Such data is fully depersonalized, there are no references left to personal information, sonar data, marks, or catches registered by users. Only depth and GPS coordinate data are being used. Then it's grouped by waters, compared with other relevant geographic data. Deeper additionally eliminates discrepancies, based on algorithms that evaluate many different aspects, and the final product includes only data that is cross-checked.
