The issue with GPS happens because of a particular Google service setting that interferes with the app. Here's how you can prevent by adjusting those settings:
Settings -> Location -> Google Location Accuracy -> Improve Location Accuracy = OFF
Location -> Advanced Settings -> Wi-Fi scanning = OFF ; Bluetooth scanning = OFF
The path that leads to these settings might be different depending on the phone model. These settings cause your GPS to sometimes acquire location of your home Wi-Fi, instead of your actual location.
After adjusting those settings, the problem should no longer appear.
