How deep can the Deeper sonars scan?

Deeper PRO and PRO+ models can scan up to 80 meters (260 ft) of depth. Deeper Start models scan up to 50 meters (165 ft) Deeper CHIRP+ model scans up to 100 meters (330 ft) of depth. Deeper will show error message "too shallow or too deep" if the actual depth exceeds the maximum scanning depth of the sonar. For example, Deeper PRO/PRO+ will not scan in places that are factually 90 meters (295 ft) deep.

What is the diameter of the bottom covered by different beams of the Deeper? (PRO / PRO+ / Deeper Start models)

Deeper Sonar devices scan in a form of a cone. Area of the bottom that the sonar beam covers increases based on the depth of the area you're fishing at, as well as the beam angle you're using. Please see the below comparison chart, which shows the diameter of the bottom that each beam covers (Deeper PRO, PRO+ and Start models). Depth (m.) 290 kHz 15º (Narrow beam) 90 kHz 55º (Wide beam) 120 kHz 40º (Deeper Start) Depth (ft.) 290 kHz 15º (Narrow beam) 90 kHz 55º (Wide b...

What is the range of ultrasound frequencies of the Deeper CHIRP+ ?

A CHIRP (Compressed High Intensity Radiated Pulse) sonar sends out a continuous flow of frequencies, ranging from low to high. Here is the range of frequencies that the Deeper CHIRP+ emits, depending on the Beam setting: High CHIRP beam (7°): 635 kHz - 715 kHz Mid CHIRP beam (16°): 270 kHz - 310 kHz Low CHIRP beam (47°): 90 kHz - 115 kHz

Extracting NMEA0183 data over UDP port (Deeper CHIRP+ model only)

With Deeper CHIRP+ model, it is possible to extract NMEA0183 data over UDP port. You can connect any device to its access point, and enable the CHIRP+ to send NMEA messages over the UDP. Deeper mobile application and device that is connected and receives NMEA over UDP can work at the same time. 1. Connection 1. Place Deeper in water. 2. Connect to Deeper CHIRP+ access point (Deeper CHIRP+ XXXX). 3. Connect to remote host: ▪ IP: 192.168.10.1 ▪ UDP port: 10110 4. Send the following command ...

Why I am unable to select beams when scanning shallow waters with Deeper CHIRP?

If you are scanning waters that are shallower than 6 ft (1.8m), Deeper CHIRP+ will automatically enable the Narrow CHIRP beam (675 kHz). This beam will give you the most accurate data at such shallow depths, compared to other beams. If you scan waters that are deeper than 6ft (1.8m), you will be able to switch between all 3 beams of Deeper CHIRP.

Can I charge my Deeper and use it in the water at the same time?

It is not possible to use the Deeper in the water and charge it at the same time. The unit will not be water-proof if you try to do so, and the firmware does not allow the device to take charge and scan at the same time.
